The road to green-and-gold glory starts today with entries for the 2026 GWM Mountain Bike National Championships now open.

Returning to Mt Buller in Victoria’s High Country for a second consecutive year, the national championships will deliver an action-packed five days of racing from March 18−22.

The event will bring together Australia’s leading elite, under-23 and junior athletes, alongside top masters and emerging stars, across downhill, cross-country Olympic (XCO), short track (XCC), team relay (XCR), E-MTB and adaptive disciplines.

New for 2026, downhill riders will enjoy the convenience of the chairlift in between challenging runs down Mt Buller’s International trail.

For cross-country racers, there are exciting changes in store for this year’s XCO course, which promises a more spectator-friendly circuit, plus more technical features, in and around the resort village.

Set against the stunning landscapes of Victoria’s High Country, the 2026 GWM Mountain Bike National Championships is a world-class event not to be missed.
